  1. Click on 'Register' and enter your data in the online application form.

  2. Read through the Terms and Conditions and click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions.

  3. Fill in the details requested in the online application form under Register tab. Please do not forget to fill in the fields marked (*) as these are mandatory fields.

  4. Click on the Save and Continue button at the bottom of the page.

  5. An OTP will be sent to your registered email id and mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on Submit.

  6. The next screen will display you SIMC ID.

  7. After successful registration, you will get an e-mail containing your SIMC ID and password. Use this SIMC ID for all future correspondence with Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

  8. Pay the Master of Arts (MA) registration fee of INR 1500 per programme [government taxes would be additional as and when applicable] Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable as per the instructions mentioned on the Registration Portal.

  9. Candidate must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the selection process.

  10. A candidate is required to fill in the correct information in the online registration form which corresponds to her/his credentials.

  11. Register online on the website www.simc.edu (upto March 21, 2025 (Friday)). -
    Note: No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances.

  12. Please also note that if any information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the University shall have right to cancel the candidature of that candidate.

  13. Note: All communications with candidates will be done through the official email address admissions@simc.edu only. Please ensure that these email addresses are whitelisted in your registered email. If you do not receive the registration/payment confirmation mail, within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folder just in case these emails got delivered there instead of your inbox

Candidates applying under reserved category:

A candidate applying under any of the reserved categories (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / Differently Abled / Kashmiri Migrants) is mandatorily required to submit relevant document issued by competent authority. Any participation, at any stage of admission process by that candidate is purely provisional and always subject to verification and authentication of relevant documents.

For the candidates applying under SC/ ST category:

Kindly note that caste certificates issued only for respective state govt. benefits will not be accepted. Caste certificates, if issued in vernacular, will need to be supported by a certified English translation, issued by a competent authority. In case a candidate falls under more than one of the above categories (e.g. Scheduled Caste as well as Differently Abled or any other combination), s/he would need to select any one Category (i.e. either Scheduled Caste OR Differently Abled in the case of example mentioned above) at the time of filling up the Master of Arts (MA) registration form. The category selected by the candidate at the time of filling the registration form will be considered to be her/his category for the entire admission process and her/his benefits and entitlements shall be according to such selected category. S/he will not be able to claim benefit under the other category/ies at any stage of admission on any account whatsoever. Please also note that if any information provided by a candidate in respect of her/his category is found to be incorrect, the University shall have right to cancel the candidature of that candidate.

Important: Programme Eligibility Criteria

Applicants expecting their final year results can also apply. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to their proof of graduation with 50% marks or equivalent grade.
2 Master of Arts - Film, Television and Digital Production - Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication - Pune Graduate from any recognized University / Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes). Applicants expecting their final year results can also apply. However, their admission will be provisional and subject to their proof of graduation with 50% marks or equivalent grade.

Terms and Conditions

  1. In case of admission related grievances, a candidate should first send an e-mail to admissions@simc.edu with details about her/his grievance.
  2. Candidate and SIU in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.
  3. All the information pertaining to SIMC - Master of Arts (MA) admission process will be posted on the web site and no separate communication by email or other means will be sent to the candidate. If such other means are used it does not constitute an obligation to continue to use such means.
  4. It is mandatory to attend PI-WAT to be eligible for admission to Master of Arts (MA) programme. Only the candidate who attends process (PI-WAT) shall be considered as eligible for generation of merit / wait / reject list. The candidate who remains absent for any one of the process will be considered as ineligible for selection process of Master of Arts (MA) degree programmes of SIMC.
  5. All disputes in this regard are subject to the legal jurisdiction of Pune.
  6. The information that you provide in the application form will be used by SIU. You may receive information through email or other form, on matters related to SIU/Constituent Institute(s) of SIU and you agree not to object to such mailers.

It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website etc.
  4. Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceed with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
  5. Applicants are advised to ensure that the information they have filled is accurate. No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances. Applicants are fully and solely responsible to provide correct information during the application process. If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling / submitting the registration form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the Institute will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.
